Service for Louis J. Homesley, 79, of Cleburne will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, June 6, 2015 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel.
The Reverend Charles E. Payne will officiate.
Burial will be in Rio Vista Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Windel Rice, Danny Cummins, John Petelin, Bobby Ingram, Jim Jones, and Mike Elmore. Honorary pallbearers will be Joel Thacker and Morris Derting.
Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Friday, at the funeral home.
Louis J. Homesley passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2015 in Cleburne. He was born August 21, 1935 in Godley to J.T. and Sadie York Homesley. He married Patricia Ann Miller on February 3, 1978 in Stephenville.
Mr. Homesley served in the United States Army. He was an insurance agent for Woodmen of the World Insurance Company for almost 30 years and also had 23 years of service at Lockheed Martin. He was a member of the Woodmen of the World for 37 years and a member and past president of Johnson County Cemetery Association since 1993. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Pat Homesley; three children, Lynn Doty and wife Vicki of Rio Vista, Jeremy Homesley and wife Jennifer of Mansfield, and Kendall Loomis and husband Brian of Weatherford; four grandchildren, Jerad Doty and wife Stephanie of Rio Vista, Sam Doty and wife Candace of Covington, Brayden Homesley and Lainey Homesley, both of Mansfield; two great grandchildren, Madi Doty and Jax Doty, both of Rio Vista, and one on the way, Layla Doty of Covington; brother, Glenn “Pete” Homesley and wife JoAnn of Cleburne; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Scott Doty in 2012; and brother, Danny Homesley.
