Funeral services for Louise Thompson Lillard, 96, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Glover officiating. Interment will follow in the Rosehill Cemetery, Cleburne. Garrett Poeggel, Joshua Morales, Kelly Lillard, Ricky Allen, Todd Riggin, and Bobby Webb will serve as pallbearers. Giles Adams will serve as honorary pallbearer. There will be a time of visitation for those wishing to have fellowship with the family from 5:00-7:00 PM on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at the funeral home.
Louise Thompson Lillard passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2024 in Cleburne. She was born to Alfred M. and Bertha F. Lindsey Thompson on March 25, 1928 in Bosque County, Texas. In July of 1951, Louise married Robert (R.M.) Lillard. They were married 47 years at the time of his passing in 1997. She has been a member of Field Street Baptist Church since 1951 and also of the Frances Scott Sunday School Class. Louise worked as a beautician for 35 years and then for another 6 years at J.C. Penney before retiring in 1980. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Freda, Fay, Lucille, and Juanita; brother, B.E. Thompson; and granddaughter, Rebekah Denham. Louise will be missed greatly.
Survivors include her daughter, Gay Denham of Cleburne; grandsons, Jimmy Denham and his wife, Jordan of Temple, and Robert Denham of Cleburne; great grandchildren, Laura Sanchez and her husband, Roberto of Cleburne, and Bella McClure of Alabama; great-great grandchildren, Iris Sanchez and Amara Sanchez, both of Cleburne; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
