Loynita Jane Beaird, age 74, of Cleburne, TX, passed away on February 13, 2024, after a long goodbye from Alzheimer’s Disease.
Loy was born on November 4, 1949 to Loys Franklin (L.F.) and Juanita Iris Taylor Beaird in Baytown, TX. After Loy graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1967, she went on to study at Lee College in Baytown and California Baptist University in Riverside, CA. While attending Lee College, Loy worked for the Lee College Baptist Student Union as Secretary. After returning from California following college, she worked as Secretary at Central Baptist Church in Baytown for several years where she and her family were members.
In 1978, Loy moved to Dallas, TX and was an Administrative Assistant for the Institutional Ministries of the Southern Baptist General Convention of Texas. She retired in 2006 after 28 years of service.
Following her retirement, Loy moved to Kerrville, TX where she lived next door to her sister, Betty, and they enjoyed many laughs, shopping trips and times with friends. She was an active member of Trinity Baptist Church in Kerrville where she sang in the regular worship choir and in the senior choir.
Loy was preceded in death by her parents, sister Elizabeth (Betty) Nall and Betty’s husband Forrest Nall; brother Jack Edward Beaird; and nephew Karl Koepke.
She is survived by sister-in-Law, LaNell Gordon Beaird Roberston; and nephews, Kris Koepke/wife Rachel, Jeff Beaird/wife Margaret, James Beaird, Joel Beaird. Great-nephews Bryan Koepke/wife Brooke, Christopher Koepke, Jordan Koepke/wife Stephanie, Jacob Beaird, Seth Beaird, Mattaniah Beaird, Caleb Beaird. Great-nieces Elizabeth Koepke Espinoza/husband Jorge, Erinn Koepke, AnnaBell Beaird, Pearla Beaird, Christianne Beaird, Brianna Beaird, Alaina Beaird, Joanna Beaird, Rachel Beaird, Johanna Beaird. Also survived by cousins, Gerry Taylor Welch and Darlene Taylor Sargent and close friend (sisters by choice), Cynthia Cobb Cole and Cindy’s son, Dan Hollister/wife Michelle.
