Lucille Hodges

Service for Lucille Hodges, 79, of Hillsboro will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, August 18, 2011 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Reverend James Meredeth will officiate. Pallbearers will be Cody Whitten, Derreck Whitten, Hayden Whitten, Tyson Hodges, Marcus McCoy and Tanner Hodges. Burial will be in Greenacres Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M. Tuesday.

Mrs. Hodges passed away Saturday, August 13, 2011 in Hillsboro. She was born May 23, 1932 in Rio Vista to John James and Hattie Morris Porter. She married James Weldon Hodges on November 11, 1950 in Weatherford.

Mrs. Hodges was a homemaker and was of the Penticostal faith.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, James Hodges of Hillsboro; daughters, Janice Hodges of Hillsboro and Teresa McCoy and husband Jay of Ft. Worth; son, Wendell Hodges of Burleson; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Evelyn Newsome of Cleburne, Georgia Mae Plemmons of Burleson and Dorothy Nelson of Ft. Worth; a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Luke Porter and sister, Josephine Prine.
