Services for Lucy “Granny Lucy” Lavada Robinson Watson, 89, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 21, 2019 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Pastor Charles Martin, Pastor Donnie Cappers and Pastor Mark Trussell will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenacres Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Bobby Dennis, Justin Dennis, Jordan Williams, Payton Thrasher, Claye Smith and Matthew Vaughan. Honorary pallbearers will be Paxton Thrasher, Cy Williams and Parker Thrasher. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Granny Lucy passed away Saturday, August 17, 2019 in Cleburne, Texas. She was born July 22, 1930 to Benjamin Franklin and Dovie Lee (Tally) Robinson in Kopperl, Texas. She married Homer Mack Dennis, who preceded her in death on March 11, 1983. She was a homemaker as well as an ordained minister. She was a loving devoted mother and grandmother and aunt. Granny Lucy was a devout Christian who loved the Lord with all her heart. Nothing made her happier than spending time with family, cooking big meals, baking pies and sewing.
Survivors include her daughters JoAnn Roy, Rhonda Gibbs and husband Yale; grandchildren Candy
Maples and husband Mike, Bobby Dennis, Jennifer Horn and husband Mark, Amanda Mears and husband Chet, Jordan Williams and wife Tori, Justin Dennis and wife Emmaly, Matthew Vaughan and wife Kari-Ann, Journi King and fiancé Israel Ortega and Shelby Gibbs; 27 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by; daughters Dorothy Vaughan and Linda Bullard; sons Bobby Gene Dennis and Eddy Dean Dennis; 2 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter.
