Lula Frances Strickland, 77, of Glen Rose passed away Monday, Feb. 6, 2017 in Glen Rose. She was born Mar. 25, 1939 in Cleburne to Joseph Bradford and Marcille Laney Hill Shoemaker.
Ms. Strickland worked in retail sales and was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and a dear friend to many. She was a member of Rainbow Baptist Church in Rainbow.
Survivors include her daughters, Kathy D. Rogers Baker and husband Floyd D. of Granbury, Paula Rogers Sizemore and husband Logan of Cleburne; sons, Danny W. Rogers of Cleburne and Richard C. Johnson of Joshua; grandchildren, Tina, Floyd D. Jr., Nicole, Dillon, Marty, Chris, Country, Donny Jr., Justin, Angie, Amanda, J.J., Alisha, Derick, Destiny, Harley, and Haley; 28 great grandchildren; sisters, Cynthia Stewart of Katy and Mellisa Graser of Amarillo; brothers, Mike Cain of Granbury and Laney D. Smith of Cleburne; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives that will miss her greatly. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Donny R. Rogers; grandson, Cory Wayne Rogers; sisters, Dorothy Mae Pearce and Carol Cain; brother, Ricky J. Shoemaker; and a daughter-in-law, Molly Rogers.
A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
