Services for Luther Lee Camp, 78, of Kopperl, Texas will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 22, 2021 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Visitation will be 10-11:00 a.m., at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Russell Gan, Steven (Bubba) Caughron, Floyd Camp Jr., Danny Camp, Roger Dale Camp and Bo Greene.
Luther Camp passed away Friday, June 18, 2021, in Glen Rose. He was born to Joel Rodney and Margaret Ethel (Pope) Camp on December 31, 1942 in Cleburne. He married Jeanne Marie (Williams) Camp on August 24, 1964 in Keene. Luther owned and operated J & L Roofing Company for 20 years. He was of the Baptist faith. Luther had a great sense of humor and was always singing. He was one of the most loyal and dependable men you'd ever meet. He taught his children to work hard and keep smiling. Luther was known as the cook for all the family gatherings. He spent countless hours dancing in his lifetime. He will be missed greatly and will always be remembered with love and a smile.
Luther is survived by his wife, Jeanne; daughters, Rhonda Caughron and husband Steven, Connie Rice, Ginny Gan and husband Russell; grandchildren, Chey Peugh, Cody Peugh, Luke Johns, Cayla Camp, Alison Caughron, Maegan Caughron, Serenity Gan; 14 great-grandchildren; siblings, Floyd Camp Sr., Kenneth Camp, Roger Camp, Cecil Camp, James Camp, Mary Harrison, Margaret McCullum, Dovie George, Ruthie Collins; nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Lisa Leeann Camp; son-in-law, James Rice; grandson-in-law, Kayn Kemp; siblings, Ronnie Camp, Joe Camp, Monroe Camp, Timothy Camp, Jimmy Camp, Jessie Camp; grandson, Dylan Caughron.
