Lynda Ward

Service for Lynda Ward, 76, of Covington, will be conducted 10:00 A.M., Monday, July 29, 2019 in the First Baptist Church in Rio Vista. Burial will follow in the Derden Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, 5-7:00 P.M., at the funeral home.

Lynda Ward passed away Thursday, July 25, 2019 in Houston. She was born on September 1, 1942 in Cleburne to Doffas Earl and Betty Inez (Burnett) Allen. Lynda married Orrell Don Ward on July 6, 1958 in the Friendship Community in Johnson County. Lynda was a clerk for the Johnson County Tax Assessor for over 10 years. She was also a member of Woodrow Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Don Ward of Covington; children, Terrie Edwards of Covington, Tim Ward of Covington; grandchildren, Jordyn Ward, Kaden Ward, Kyler Ward; sisters Wanda Hollingsworth, Sara Beth Davis and husband Bobby, Ramona Allen, Vicki Hopper and husband Bob; brothers, Luke Allen and Rick Allen.

Lynda is preceded in death by, her parents, Earl and Betty Allen, brothers, Randy Allen, Benny Allen, Tommy Allen and sister, Cindy Allen
