Graveside service for Mabel Irene Wylie, 94, of Cleburne will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Monday, May 15, 2017 at Bethesda Cemetery in Johnson County. Pastor Justin Bridges will officiate.
Mabel Irene Wylie passed away on Friday, May 12, 2017 in Ft. Worth. She was born Sept. 5, 1922 in Emmetsburg, IA to George and Ruby Weiner White. She married Jack Arthur Wylie on October 4, 1948 and he preceded her in death on August 1, 1984.
Mrs. Wylie worked as a nurse until retiring. She was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt and a dear friend to many. Mabel was very involved in clothing drives helping the homeless. She would collect items then pass them out herself. She was presented with the Service To Mankind Award by the Sertoma Club of Ft Worth in 1997, at the young age of 75.
Survivors include her beloved sons, Jack Wylie Jr. and wife Tammy of Abilene and Tom Wylie of Egan; grandchildren, Zach Wylie and wife Kim, Dustin Wylie and wife Tiffany, Chase Wylie and wife Katie, Lesley Whiteley and husband Darren, Shane Vaughan and wife Jessica, Juan Wylie, Fred Wylie, Val Wylie and Amparo Wylie; nephew, Duane Robbins and wife Janice; cousin, Earlene Wylie; and several other relatives and friends who will miss her greatly. She was also preceded in death by her parents.
