Service for Mae Seay, 96, of Cleburne will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, Dec. 10, 2015 at Calvary Baptist Church. The Reverend Charles E. Payne will officiate, assisted by the Reverend Earl Sides. Burial will be in Greenacres Memorial Park. Her grandsons will be pallbearers. Visitation will be from 5-7:00 P.M., Wednesday, at the funeral home.
Mae Seay passed away Sunday, Dec. 6, 2015 in Cleburne. She was born May 1, 1919 in Black Hawk, Miss. to Henry Grady and Oma Robertson Woodard. She married William Monroe Seay, Sr. in Sept. of 1939 in Carroll County, Miss. and he preceded her in death on Oct. 3, 1980.
Mrs. Seay was a homemaker. She enjoyed and loved babysitting many children and they loved her. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son, Charles Seay and wife Jan of Cleburne; daughter, Joyce Polson and husband Charles of Trophy Club; two brothers, Lee Woodard of Greenwood, Miss. and Kenneth Woodard of Flora, Miss. ; seven grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and numerous great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents; three sons, Monroe Seay, Jr., Marion Seay, and Douglas Seay; grandson, Gary Polson; and five brothers and sisters.
