Mamie Bruce

Services for Mamie Sue Bruce, 85, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 7, 2007 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Reverend Bill Schibler will officiate. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Justin Sandoval, Roy Pettigrew, Lee Pettigrew, Jody Bruce, Greg Keith and Scott Pettigrew.

Mamie Sue Bruce passed away Tuesday, September 4, 2007 in Ft. Worth. She was born October 24, 1921 in Elkmont, Alabama to George Henry and Mattie Sue Pitts Guthrie.

Mrs. Bruce was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.

Mamie Sue Bruce is survived by her daughter, Elaine Keith and husband Ronny of Cleburne; sister, Pauline Marshall of Whitney; 11 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great- granddaughter and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Roy E. Pettigrew and E.A. "Mutt" Bruce in 1987; sons, Calvin and Alvin Pettigrew and Dwayne Bruce and daughter, Rhonda Suzanne Bruce.
