Mamie Margaret Daggett, 96, of Cleburne passed away Monday, December 22, 2014 in Cleburne. She was born April 8, 1918 in Baird to Charles H and Ella Sheffield Mahan. She married E.M. “Brud” Daggett on September 27, 1947 and he preceded her in death in 1993.
Mrs. Daggett worked as vice-president of human resources for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, retiring in 1979. At the time of her retirement she was the highest ranking female employee. She was a member of the Pioneer group at Southwestern Bell. Mamie loved shopping and eating out on Wednesdays with her niece and great nephews, M.J. and Matthew. She also loved going for drives and looking at scenery. She volunteered at her church, answering phones at both, the preschool and the church. She was a member of Ridglea Presbyterian Church of Ft. Worth. Her love for life and family will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her nieces and nephews, Milo and Tammy Mahan, Linda and David White, Mary Seller, and Mark Charles Mahan; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Charles, Earl, Carl, Milo, and Robert; and a niece, Mary Lou Wallace.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
