Margie Carper

Services for Margie Carper, 90, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, September 2, 2023, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel with Reverend Steve Dill officiating. Interment to follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 P.M., Friday, September 1, 2023, at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers are Matthew Newly Dill, Daniel Dill, Jeremy Carper, Lewis Burton, Brendan Whitehead and Garrett Lee. Honorary pallbearer is Michael Whitehead.

Mrs. Carper passed away Saturday, August 26, 2023 in Keene. She was born May 5, 1933 in Cleburne to Charlie Ivan and Mattie Elizabeth (Roden) Gustafson. Margie married Finis Newton Carper, Jr. on July 30, 1949 in Glen Rose. She was a member of Henderson Street Baptist Church. Margie worked as a LVN for Kimbro Clinic and Walls Regional Hospital with 30 years of service. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her children, Cathy Cavasos and husband, Randy, Libby Dill and husband, Steve, and Jerry Carper and wife, Carol all of Cleburne; granddaughters, Christi Burton and husband, Lewis of Willow Park, Emily Cavasos of Austin; grandsons, Matthew Dill and wife, Ashley of Cleburne; Daniel Dill and wife, Courtney of Ovilla; granddaughters, Brittany Lee and husband, Garrett of Rio Vista, Keisha Whitehead and husband, Keith Murphy of Burleson; grandsons, Jeremy Carper and wife, Tiara of Crowley, and Michael Whitehead and wife, Amanda of Lehi, Utah; great-grandchildren, Cara Burton, Addison Dill, Caleb Dill, Aubrey Dill, Nolan Dill, Amelia Dill, Hank Dill, Olivia Dill, Isaac Dill, Cameron Carper, Liam Greenhill, Logan Lee, Hunter Jackson, Otis Carper, Brendan Whitehead, Lexie Whitehead, Mavis Whitehead, Calavin Whitehead, and Cambria Murphy.

Mrs. Carper was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Finis Carper on January 22, 2005.
