Margie Horton

Services for Margie Lee Horton, 80, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 28, 2008 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Rev. Dan Burt, Rev. Charles Payne and Rev. Eddie Freeman will officiate. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Charles Wilson, Greg Galier, Rick Robinson, Richard Sikes, Tommy Pernell and David Stovall. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry McElroy and Donnie McElroy.

Margie Lee Horton passed away Thursday, July 24, 2008 in Ft. Worth. She was born April 19, 1928 in Johnson County, TX to Augustus and Fannie Harp Pernell. She married Glenn A. Bledsoe on January 24, 1948, he preceded her in death on August 8, 1985. She married Billy O. Horton on February 14, 1989 in Cleburne, TX.

Mrs. Horton was a secretary for the US Department of Agriculture. She was a member of Henderson St. Baptist Church, a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the VFW.

Margie Lee Horton is survived by her husband, Billy O. Horton of Cleburne; granddaughter, Audra Carter and husband, Tim of Rio Vista; sister, Iva Jean McElroy of Cleburne; step-daughter, Colleen Brooks of Houston; step-son, Billy G. Horton and wife, Norma of San Antonio; two sons-in-law, Lonnie Gallop of Cleburne and Ronald Ware of Grandview; four great-grandchildren, Tiffany Riha, Autumn Traweek, Breana Carter and Tristin Carter; three step-grandchildren and nine step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Glenda Gallop on June 2008, grandson, Ronald Lewis Ware II, four brothers and six sisters.
