Margie Maddox passed away Sunday, November 8, 2020 in Fort Worth. She was born March 19, 1933, in Alvarado, Texas to Ruby Booth. She married Oscar Maddox in Cleburne.
Margie loved her family and enjoyed vacations cruising many destinations. She particularly enjoyed the calving of the glaciers at College fjords in Alaska, the Kilauea volcano eruption in Hawaii (at night you could see the lava flowing down the volcano, spewing in the air as it hit the ocean below), and a full eclipse of the moon while at sea.
Margie loved her cat, Jada, and her grand-dogs Reese and Riley Pratt, Libby, Ziva and Khloe Brooks, and Bean McCarty, all who loved her dearly.
Survivors include her children, Kay McCarty and husband Richard, Teresa Pratt, Tamy Brooks, and Roy Maddox; daughter-in-law, Judy; grandchildren, Michelle, Christi and husband Eric, Marc, Ben and Lee; great-grandchildren, Lauren, Cameron, Grey, and Forrest; numerous nieces and nephews and her BFF of 70+ years, Joan Smith of Cleburne.
Preceding her in death were David Riza and grandson Lonnie Pratt.
