Service for Margie Mae Sartor McCollum, 84, of Cleburne will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, April 23, 2015 in the Nolan River Road Baptist Church. The Reverend Larry York will officiate, assisted by Reverend Adam Mathews. Private burial will be in Bono Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ed Patrick, Frank Scholz, Chris Boulden, John Shelton, Jack McCartney, and Jim Newcomb. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Wednesday, at the funeral home.
Margie Mae Sartor McCollum passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2015 in Cleburne. She was born April 5, 1931 in Covington to Rayburn O. and Dotsie Mae Mullen Sartor. She married Melvin Lee McCollum on July 4, 1948 in Bono.
Mrs. McCollum was a teacher at J.N. Long Elementary and Gerard Elementary Schools for 22 years. She was a member of Nolan River Road Baptist Church. Her beautiful smile and loving spirit will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. As members of Margie’s family, we know that we will be reunited with her in Heaven.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Melvin Lee McCollum; daughter, Melanie Wylie and husband Garey; son, Murray McCollum and wife Margaret, all of Cleburne; grandchildren, Michelle Brown and husband Jeremy, Rachelle Barta and husband Michael, Monty McCollum and wife Katie, and Melissa Rabinowitz and husband Jason; step grandson, Jason Wylie and wife Rachel; great grandchildren, Mallory Brown, Colt Brown, Elizabeth Barta, Mitchell McCollum, Mackenzie McCollum, and Maddison Rabinowitz, step great grandchildren, Jacob Wylie and Caden Wylie; great-great granddaughter, Brinlee McWhirter; sister, Ruby Morris of Sanger; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
