Margie Northern

Service for Margie Nell Roden Northern, 81, of Grandview were conducted at 10:00 A.M., Monday, March 4, 2013 in the First Baptist Church of Grandview. Burial was in the Grandview Cemetery. The Reverend Russell Allen officiated. Pallbearers were Dale Smith, Wallace Cockerham, Kenneth Pipes, Jason Wells, Michael Lee Maxwell and Ricky Prescher.

Mrs. Northern passed away Friday, March 1, 2013 in Grandview. She was born Nov. 19, 1931 in Grandview to Roy Anderson and Sarah Ruth Stanley Tribble. She married Billy Howard Roden on Feb. 8, 1948 in Alvarado. He preceded her in death in 1975. She married Michael Douglas Northern in 1983 in Grandview. Mrs. Northern was a certified nurse’s aide for over 30 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Grandview where she kept the nursery for over 50 years.

Mrs. Northern is survived by her husband, Michael Northern of Grandview; two sons, Ricky Roden and wife Ruthie of Grandview, Gerald Roden and wife Julia of Burleson; step son, Jeffery Micheal Northern of Austin; four grandchildren, Stacy Davis, Kimberly Roden, Michelle Rice and Greg Roden; 7 great grandchildren, Brenna, Caleb, Brody, Brady, Brant, Blake and McKenley; two sisters, Wanda Peck and Mabel Wells both of Cleburne; brother, David Tribble of Cleburne and several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by her parents, brother, Wallace Tribble, sisters, Geneva Tribble, Maurine Fought and Aileen Davis.
