Mass of Christian burial for Maria Guadalupe Flores, 91, of Cleburne will be conducted at 12:00 Noon, Friday, Dec. 18, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Father Sergio Rizo will officiate. Burial will be in Greenacres Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Becky Velasquez, Gilberto Gallardo, Sr., Joaquin Rivera, Jr., Robert L. Ramirez, Felipe Ramirez, Fernando Rodriquez, Miguel A. Garcia, and Adam Martinez. Honorary pallbearers will be Gilberto Gallardo, Jr., D.J. Meador, Jose Luis Garcia, Jeremy Longoria, Brandon Garcia, and Chava Jimenez. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Thursday, at the funeral home, with Rosary at 7:00 P.M.
Maria Guadalupe Flores passed away Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2015 in Cleburne. She was born Feb. 23, 1924 in Alice, TX to Dionides and Cruz Ruiz Jones. She married Edmundo C. Flores, Sr. on Oct. 4, 1943 in Alice and he preceded her in death in 2000.
Mrs. Flores was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother, Nana, Lita, and a friend to many. She will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her. She was of the Catholic faith.
Survivors include her children, Edmundo Flores, Jr. and wife Juanita of Kopperl, Esmeralda Reyna of Cleburne, Maria Guadalupe Rubio of Cleburne, Daniel J. Flores and wife Kathy of Cleburne, Robert L. Flores of Beaumont, George J. Flores and wife Frances of Cleburne, Sylvia Flores of Cleburne, Angelita Hernandez and husband Jose of Cleburne, Maria Elena Gallardo and husband Gilberto of Cleburne, and Luis Flores and wife Elizabeth of Silts, Co.; 74 grandchildren; 78 great grandchildren; 46 great-great great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Rudy Flores; daughter-in-law, Bernadine Flores; brothers, Juan Jones and Jose Jones; and sister, Emilia Jones.
