Marie Gibson

Service for Marie Lewis Gibson, 99, of Cleburne will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, June 17, 2018 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Reverend Kim Long will officiate. Burial will follow in Blum Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Saturday, at the funeral home.

Marie Lewis Gibson passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2018 in Cleburne. She was born December 21, 1918 in Osceola community to Kendall Eugene and Lutha Weatherred Lewis. She married James Henry Gibson on May 17, 1947 in Hillsboro and he preceded her in death on August 20, 2002, after 55 years of marriage.

Mrs. Gibson was a school teacher. She taught at Blum and Fort Worth ISD. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Cleburne.

Survivors include her two sons, Jim Gibson of Cleburne and Gary Gibson of New Braunfels and cousins, Koma Donworth and husband Warren of Buda and Pat Gee of Sneedville, Tennessee. She was also preceded in death by her parents.
