Marie King

Services for Marie W. King, 91, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 26, 2010 in the First Baptist Church of Cleburne. Dr. Daniel E. Crosby will officiate. Entombment will be in Greenacres Mausoleum. Pallbearers will be David Faulk, Second Lieutenant Daniel Faulk, Cary Walker, Clifton Walker, Robert Griffin and Stan King. Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 p.m at the funeral home.

Marie W. King passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2010 in Keene. She was born November 22, 1918 in Kansas City, Missouri to Charles T. Walker and Verna M. Floyd Walker. She married Lyle C. King on October 20, 1940 in Bales Baptist Church in Kansas City, Missouri.

Mrs. King was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cleburne since 1964, the Hobby Club and the Texas Draft Horse Association, where she also served as secretary.

Marie King is survived by her sons, Dale R. King and wife Marilyn of Cleburne and Daryl E. King and wife Sue of North Richland Hills; daughters, Tracy E. Bridges and husband Gerald of Dallas and Lois M. Faulk of Cleburne; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Charlotte Walker of North Richland Hills and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends who love her. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Lyle C. King on October 24, 2002 and two brothers.
