Marie Payne

Services for Marie Fulfer Payne, 76, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 23, 2007 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Mr. Eddy Carrell will officiate. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery.

Marie Fulfer Payne passed Wednesday, March 21, 2007 in Ft. Worth. She was born January 25, 1931 in Godley, Texas to Riddle Andrew and Ida Florence Woodard Fulfer. She married Billy Claude Payne on September 16, 1949 in Weatherford, TX.

Mrs. Payne retired from the Cleburne Independent School District, where she worked as a cafeteria worker for 9 years. She previously worked at Lam Music, Texel Industries and Accents by Suzanne. She was of the Baptist faith.

Marie Payne is survived by her sons, Kenny Payne and wife Cindy of Midlothian, Dennis Payne and wife Debbie of Rio Vista and Barry Payne and wife Casey of Cleburne; grandchildren, Derrick Payne of Rio Vista; Ryann McCarthy and husband Bob of Venus, Randall Payne and wife Janie of Midlothian, Jade Payne of Fossil Creek and her "granddogs"; two sisters, Margarette Wheeler Trawick of Meridian and Sue Callowhill of Duncanville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy C. Payne on October 24, 2006, sister, Helen Simms Young and brother, Jerry "Buck"Fulfer.

Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 p.m.
