Service for Marion Cooper, 83, of Cleburne will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Friday, Jan. 6, 2017 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Dr. David denHartog will officiate, assisted by the Reverend Dean Elliott. Burial will be in Rio Vista Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Thursday, at the funeral home.
Marion Cooper passed away Sunday, Jan. 1, 2017 in Ft. Worth. He was born Sept. 28, 1933 in Cleburne to Joseph Bailey and Ivon Harper Cooper. He married Carol Holliday on July 27, 1979 in Cleburne.
Mr. Cooper served in the United States Army and worked in quality control for Carnation Canning Co. until retiring. He was a Mason for more than 50 years and an active member of the First Baptist Church of Rio Vista.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Carol Cooper of Cleburne; children, Loretta Jacobs and husband Tom of Azle, Donna Apgar and husband Mike of Colorado Springs, Kayla Haynie of Boyd, and Scott Cooper and wife Christie of Allen; stepchildren, Holly Kelley and husband Terry and Kelly Hanks, all of Cleburne; 16 grandchildren; and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one grandson; one great granddaughter; one sister; and one stepbrother.
