Marjean Edgar

Service for Marjean Edgar, 76, of Keene, formerly of Richardson, will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, Dec. 21, 2017 in the Field Street Baptist Church. The Reverend John Glover will officiate, assisted by her brother, Mr. Darrell Miles. Committal will be at 1:30 P.M., Thursday in Greenacres Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 10-11:00 A.M., Thursday, at the church, prior to the service.

Marjean Edgar passed away Sunday, Dec. 17, 2017 in Keene. She was born Feb. 6, 1941 in Yorktown, TX to Robert Morris, Jr. and Marjory Steakley Edgar.

Miss Edgar was a graduate of Cleburne High School class of 1959 and also a graduate of North Texas State University with a master’s degree in music education. She was the music teacher for Richardson ISD for 40 years before retiring. Marjean was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her brothers, Darrell Miles and wife Becky of Cleburne and Jack Miles and wife Ruth of Littleton, CO; sister, Cindy Miles of Irving; brother-in-law, Kent Williams and wife Linda of Cleburne; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Edgar, Jr.; mother, Marjory Miles and father, Jim Miles; paternal grandparents, Mable and Robert Edgar, Sr.; maternal grandparents, Effie Pearl and Hugh Steakley; and one sister, Jamie Williams.
