Marjorie Bransom

Marjorie C. Bransom passed away Friday, April 17, 2009 in Vitas Hospice Care in Irving. She was born 88 years ago in Dallas to Murray William Sr. and Ruby Nina Horn Crowder. She married Linden Bransom, Sr. on July 28, 1939 in Handley, TX.
Marjorie and Linden worked for the Civil Service in Hawaii during World War II packing parachutes. Marjorie and Linden lived in Dallas most of their lives.
Mrs. Bransom was a hairstylist for over 20 years and a member of First United Methodist Church in Joshua. She won first, second and third place at the State Fair of Texas for her oil paintings and her famous quilts. She also had a great love of animals. After retirement, Marjorie and Linden moved back to Joshua in the 80's.

Marjorie Bransom is survived by son, Linden R. Bransom, Jr. of Dallas; sister, Sallie Platt of North Richland Hills; brothers, Tommy Crowder of Eastland and Mack Crowder of Abilene; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.. She was preceded in death by her husband, Linden R. Bransom, Sr. on April 29, 1993 and daughter-in-law, Kay Bransom and brothers, Murray Crowder, Jr. and Elmer Crowder.
