Mark Montanez

A memorial service for Mark Andrew Montanez, 62, of Fairfield, Texas will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, February 25, 2023, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel.

Mark passed away February 7, 2023 in Cleburne. He was born in Cleburne on September 27, 1960 to Rosa (Nell) and Benjamin Montanez, Jr. He grew up in Joshua, graduating from Joshua High School in 1979. Mark served in the United States Air Force as a gunner on a B52 in Operation Desert Storm. Following his service, he worked for General Dynamics and at Brookshire’s Grocery. Mark will be remembered by his family for his sense of humor and intellect.

He is survived by brothers, Dwain of Bulverde, Texas and Chris of Bono, Texas; nieces, Lindsey Wittenberg and daughter, Landry of San Antonio, Texas and Cheyenne Montanez and son, Brennan of New Braunfels, Texas; nephews, Roy Reddell and daughter, Mia of Glen Rose, Texas, Clay Montanez and wife, Kaitlyn of Bono, Texas and Daylen Montanez of Bono, Texas. Mark is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents.
