Marquitta Pearce

Services for Marquitta Ann Pearce, 68, homemaker of Cleburne, will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, August 7, 2010 in the Granbury Street Church of Christ. Burial will be in the Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels.

Mrs. Pearce passed away Wednesday, August 4, 2010 in Cleburne. She was born December 10, 1941 in Gainesville, Texas. Marquitta married George Pearce on March 21, 1958 in Gainesville. They have been members of Granbury Street Church of Christ since the mid 1980's and residents of Johnson County since 1972. They fostered children for 20 years as well. She was an upbeat lady who always had a smile on her face and a great sense of humor. Marquitta enjoyed traveling, taking care of others and her animals, and working with flowers. Her loving nature and debating spirit will be missed greatly by all those that knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

Survivors include her husband, George Pearce; sons and their spouses, Randy and Linda Pearce, Gary and Laura Pearce, and Doug Pearce; 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
