Martha Glover

Martha Faye Hazlewood Glover passed away from this life after a short and courageous battle with multiple myeloma (plasma cell cancer of the bone marrow) at 6:05 a.m. Sunday, July 17, 2005 in Ft. Worth. in ICU at Kindred Hospital (southwest) after being an eleven year survivor of ovarian cancer. She was born November 21, 1920 in Ft. Worth, Tx., to Hugh and Bertha Potter Hazlewood. She married E. G. (Eddie) Glover.
Mrs. Glover graduated from Paschal High School and attended TCU in Ft. Worth. She was the secretary to the 19th. Air Division Commanders of the Strategic Air Command at Carswell Air Force Base - April 1951 (six months after Carswell opening) thru September 1983. She was an avid golf player, with two "Holes-in-One" in 1988 and 1994. The second love of her life was the Fidelis Sunday School of Saint Mart United Methodist Church in Cleburne where she was a forty four year member. She was also a member of the Texas Society of Professional Surveyors Women's Auxillary.
Martha Faye Hazlewood Glover is survived by her husband of 45 years, E. G. (Eddie) Glover, Jr. of Cleburne; three granddaughters, Natalie Ruth Daniels, Stephanie Ann Daniels and Christina Grace Rohr, all of California; sister-in-law, Jo Hazlewood of April Sound (Montgomery, Tx.); nephew Jim Hazlewood and wife Sherry of Houston; grand niece, Chrissy Hazlewood of Houston; cousin Ganell Watkins and husband Mike of San Angelo. Faye was preceded in death by her father and mother, Hugh and Bert Hazlewood; step-daughter, Abbe Lynn Rohr, and a brother Carroll Hazlewood.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Faye's memory to "Bread Basket", Saint Mark United Methodist Church, 1109 West Henderson St., Cleburne, TX., 76033.
