Martha Gumfory

A graveside service for Martha Gumfory, 77, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:30 AM Monday, September 12, 2011 at the Cleburne Memorial Cemetery.
Martha Gumfory died on September 8, 2011 in Cleburne, Texas. She was born on December 16, 1933 in Cleburne to Hix Brown and Jewell Brown. Martha married RV Gumfory April 28, 1950. She graduated in 1951 from Cleburne High School. She also attended college classes at Austin Peay College in Clarksville, Tennessee. In Texas, she attended Hill College, TCJC and UT at Arlington. She held a Texas Real Estate license.
She was a secretary to an elementary principal at Fort Campbell, KY, Fort Bragg, N.C. and Fort Carson, CO. She worked in the accounting department in the Cleburne Independent Schools for 21 years and retired in November 1991.
Martha was preceded in death by her beloved husband RV Gumfory; her parents and a brother William Brown. She is survived by her son and his wife Mark and Penny Gumfory; granddaughter and husband Lloya and Rod Austin; granddaughter Mariah Gumfory; grandson and wife Brett and Angela Hudson; three great-grandchildren Lindsey and Jasmine Austin and Clara Hudson.
