Funeral services honoring Martha Jane Howe, 78, of Burleson, Texas will be held on Monday, April 21, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Bethel Temple Assembly of God Church, located at 600 South Colonial Drive, Cleburne, Texas. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM prior to service.

Martha Jane Howe, a beloved mother, grandmother and cherished member of her family, passed away on April 14, 2025, in Burleson, Texas. Born on December 2, 1946, in Johnson County, Texas, Martha was known for her strong and independent spirit, which endeared her to all who knew her.

Martha was a loving mother to her daughter, Cynthia (and Glynn) Cooper; son, Russell Howe (and Angie); grandchildren, Brandon (and Gabie) Howe, Stephanie Howe (and Corey Flores), Sam (and Savannah) Howe, William (and Katy) Cooper, Victoria (and Ryan) Garcia, Chase (and Callie) Cooper, and Clayton Cooper; great-grandchildren: David Gundy, Kairi Chhim, Isabelle Howe, Lorelai Howe, Jackson Howe, Aaron Cooper, and Jason Cooper.

As a strong yet gentle woman, Martha inspired those around her with her unwavering faith and her desire for her family to know Christ. In her life, she balanced toughness with tenderness, and her family treasured her love and support. Martha's fondness for flowers and lighthouses reflected her appreciation for beauty and guidance, traits that shone through her interactions with loved ones.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Elijah and Edith Phillips; sisters Billie Kuykendall, Mary Howe, Aileen Montgomery, and Nadine Edwards; and brothers Thomas Phillips and Joe Phillips.

Martha Jane Howe will be remembered for her unwavering love of family, her inspirational strength, and her beautiful spirit.
