Service for Marvin Charles Bowles, 71, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, July 8, 2017 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Pastor Donnie Cappers will officiate. Burial will be in Rio Vista Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tim Bowles, Steven Bullard, Joseph Kimbrough, Clay Phillips, Michael Kimbrough and William Bowles. Visitation will be Friday for 6:00 – 8:00 P.M.
Marvin Bowles passed away Monday, July 3, 2017 in Cleburne. He was born June 21, 1946 in Johnson County, TX to L.C. and Annie (Anderson) Bowles. He served in the US Army and was a machinist for Santa Fe Railroad in Cleburne and BNSF in Kansas City, Kansas, retiring after 42 years of service. He was of the Church of Christ faith.
He was a loving father, grandfather and brother.
Marvin Bowles is survived by his daughter Valarie Bowles and Steven Bullard of Cleburne; sons William and Barbara Fredrick of Cossey and Tim and Caitlin Bowles of Cleburne; seven grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sisters Shirley and Willie Winkfield of Fort Worth and Martha Stout of Euless and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Marshall Temple.
