Marvin Grisham

Services for Marvin A. Grisham, 80, of Rio Vista, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, November 10, 2010 in the Crosier-Pearson-Cleburne Chapel. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 P.M. in the Eastside Cemetery, Bridgeport. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 P.M.

Mr. Grisham passed away Sunday, November 7, 2010 in Fort Worth. He was born May 30, 1930 in Bridgeport to Johnny Buckner and Mary Ester Brewer Grisham. Marvin married Olivia Gail Waldrop on September 11, 1954 in Dallas. They were members of Nolan River Road Baptist Church. Mr. Grisham served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired in 1987 from Texas Power & Light. It has been said that he always put his family first and everyone loved him. He enjoyed fishing, camping and working on cars. Papaâ?TMs jokester nature and loving spirit will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Mark Allen Grisham; and siblings, Elbert Grisham, James Grisham and Irene Green.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Olivia Grisham; sons, Andy Grisham and his wife, Twana, and Russell Grisham; grandchildren, Stephen Grisham and his wife, Misty, Aaron Grisham, Austin Grisham, and Michael Grisham; great granddaughter, Cheyenne; niece and nephews, Leroy Green, James Grisham, and Mary Louise Caldwell; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
