Services for Mary E. "Mickie" Bell, 90, of Arlington will be conducted at 12:30 P.M., Friday, Dec. 10, 2010 in the Calvary Baptist Church. The Reverend Charles E. Payne and Dr. David Fletcher will officiate. Burial will in the Moore Memorial Gardens in Arlington. Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M., Thursday, at the funeral home.
Mickie Bell passed away Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2010 in Arlington. She was born Sept. 17, 1920 in Shreveport, LA., to Charles Wesley and Bertie Mae Seabaugh Fitch. She married the love of her life, Weldon V. Bell on April 5, 1941 in Ft. Worth. Mickie and Weldon lived in Cleburne for many years, where she worked at Cleburne Drug. After retirement, they spent seven happy years traveling. Their winters were spent in the Rio Grande Valley and their summers in Arkansas or Colorado. Weldon preceded her in death on March 8, 1989. Mickie then began to spend time visiting with friends and walking daily at the Cleburne Mall. She was also active at Calvary Baptist Church. In May of 2006 Mickie moved to Arlington to be close to her son and daughter in law. She never met a stranger and quickly made many friends at The Arbrook Retirement Community.
Mickie leaves behind a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Ralph Richason of Athens; daughter-in-law, Sammie Bell and granddaughters, Jennifer and Kimberly Bell all of Mansfield; sister, Estha Nowlin of Tyler. Her beloved son Weldon W. Bell preceded her in death on July 10 of this year. She was also preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters.
