Services for Mary Etta Watson Conner, 91, of Covington, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 2, 2007 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Rev. Kerry Horn will officiate. Burial will be in Covington Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Danny Brown, Mike Brown, Chris Allison, Grant Cornett, Benny Cornett, David Walls, Alan Parks and Randy Cornett.
Mary Etta Watson Conner passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2007 in Cleburne,TX. She was born May 10, 1916 to Phillip F. and Martha LouEtta Roberts Watson in the Derden Community in Hill County, Texas. She married Carroll Conner on December 17, 1938 in Covington.
Mrs. Conner worked for Snow White Laundry and was a member of Covington First Baptist Church.
Mary Etta Conner is survived by her daughters, Pat Conner of Osceola, Joyce Brown of Covington, Linda Allison of Cleburne and Sharon Sylvest of Sweetwater; son, Benny Conner of Covington; brothers, O.P. Watson and wife Jean of Blum and Phil Watson and wife Betty of Walnut Springs; 9 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carroll Conner; grandchildren, Jesse, Eddie and Patti Brand;sons-in-law, Jackie Brown and Billy Allison; brothers, Lowell and Joe Watson and sisters, Ruth Wray and Pat Roye.
