Mary Curtis

Service for Mary S. Curtis, 92, of Keene, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, July 31, 2021 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Reverend Charles Payne will officiate. Burial will follow at 11:15 A.M. in Bono Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8:00 P.M., Friday, July 30, 2021 at the funeral home.

Mary passed away July 25, 2021 in Keene. She was born May 24, 1929 in Belen, New Mexico to Hildry and Mary Malone Carter. Mary married Raymond Chester Curtis on March 11, 1946 in Los Lunas, New Mexico. She was a manager in the telephone industry before retiring. Mary was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Cleburne and a very active member of the Woodman of the World Organization. She loved Blue Grass music, sewing, quilting and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Charlene Nichols and husband Ronnie of Cleburne; son, Robert Curtis of Longmont, Colorado; grandchildren, Julie Dumas and husband Erik, Warren Curtis, Shelly Anderson; great-grandchildren, Hanna, Ryan, Michael, Zachary Lauren, Raelei, Trinity and Colten.

Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Chester Curtis and son, Roy Allen Curtis.
