Mary M. Dyche passed peacefully to her rest on November 20, 2009, in Keene, TX at the age of 89 years, five months, and nine days. She was born to Felix and Bennie French McDonald in Keene on June 11, 1920, her mother's birthday. Mary was a member of the Keene Seventh-day Adventist Church.
At the age of eighteen, Mary graduated from college with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English, and then continued with graduate studies. Prior to retirement in 1992, she was employed as a medical secretary at the White Memorial Medical Center in Los Angeles for 37 years.
Mary enjoyed reading, bird-watching and gardening. She was a great fan of the Texas Rangers and the Los Angeles Dodgers. She also enjoyed helping her friends with transportation needs and deeds of kindness. For many years she served as a Volunteer at the Southwestern Adventist University Chan Shun Library.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Gifts may be made to the Don and Marjorie Stowe Scholarship Fund at Southwestern Adventist University, c/o Advancement Office, Keene, TX 76059.
Survivors: Son, James A. Dyche and daughter in law, Marcia Rider Dyche; three grandsons, Kevin and wife, Cindi, Joshua and wife, Madeline, and Benjamin; two granddaughters, Rachel and Elizabeth; five great grandchildren; numerous cousins and many friends.
