Mary Hughes

Mary Sue Hughes passed away Thursday, November 1, 2012 in Burleson. She was born July 30, 1932 in Lillian to John and Alma Baze Crawford.
She married Martin E. Hughes on December 13, 1948 in Weatherford. Mary was a homemaker who enjoyed crocheting and sewing and was the best cook in the world. She was free and generous and would give anybody anything. Although she was 5' tall she was TNT.

Mary is survived by her husband of 63 years, Martin Edward Hughes; children, Alma Beatrice Schumacher and Jimmy Ray, Johnny Edward Hughes and Maunakea and Tommy Ray Hughes and Peggy Penny; grandchildren, Krista, Melissa, Kevin, Belinda, Sarah, Jimmie and Johnny; 24 great-grandchildren; siblings, Dorothy Matthews, Wanda Moore and Bobby Crawford; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Alma Crawford;granddaughter, Hanna and nine siblings.
