Graveside service for Mary Louise Landers, 89, of Cleburne will be conducted at 3:30 P.M., Monday, Feb. 21, 2011. Burial will be in the Rosehill Cemetery. Vistiation will be from 2-3 P.M., at the funeral home, prior to the graveside service. Pastor Kevin Diggs will officiate. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Jerry Landers, Jr., Clifton Pittman, Steve Landers, Blake Mayhall, Bryan Landers, Dakota Brown, Tommy Landers and Jordan Mayhall.
Mrs. Landers passed away Thursday, Feb. 17, 2011 in Cleburne. She was born May 19, 1921 in Wilson, Oklahoma to Aubrey Hayden and Bertha Lucille Dean Pickens. She married Norman Weldon Landers in August 1938 in East Mountain, Texas. He preceded her in death on April 28, 1979. Mrs. Landers was a longtime member of the Field Street Baptist Church and a homemaker.
Mrs. Landers is survived by five children, Norma Lou Elliott of Weatherford, Jerry Landers of Cleburne, Jimmy Landers and wife Becky of Grandview, Larry Landers of Brownwood and Beverly Brown and husband Rayford of Ranger; one brother, Harold Pickens and wife Mona of Mesquite; two sisters, Nita Caldwell of DeSoto and Barbara Creel and husband Fred of Cold Springs; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one son, two granddaughters, one grandson and one great granddaughter.
The family would like to thank all the nurses and staff of the Alpha Omega Hospice for the wonderful care they gave our mother.
