Service for Mary Jo Martindale, 85, of Cleburne will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012 in the Westhill Church of Christ. Mr. Tommy Johnston will officiate. Burial will be in the Rio Vista Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M., Wednesday, at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Bobby Davis, Troy Burnett, Ronnie Hall, Jimmy Allen, Dwain Martindale and Billy Martindale.


Mrs. Martindale passed away Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012 in Ft. Worth. She was born Feb. 4, 1927 in Hill County to Martin Luther and Carrie Lee Bragg Burnett. She married Otis Lee Martindale on Jan. 31, 1945 in Denton. He preceded her in death on Jan. 26, 2004. She graduated as valedictorian of Blum High School Class of 1944. Mrs. Martindale was a co-founder and bookkeeper for the family auto parts company. She was a member of Parker Church of Christ.
Survivors include four sons, Donnie Martindale and wife Elizabeth, Bill Martindale, Bobby Martindale and Lanny Martindale and wife Amey; one daughter, Judy Bivens and husband Tim; 17 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren; sister, Sue Stafford and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a great grandson, Andy Allen, brother, Troy Burnett and sister, Betty Allen.
