Service for Mary Pauline Elam, 97, of Cleburne will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, April 3, 2018 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Reverend Ken Coleman will officiate. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Monday, at the funeral home.
Mary Pauline Elam passed away Sunday, March 25, 2018 in Cleburne. She was born October 26, 1920 in Godley to Frank and Lura Cumi Homesley Brown. She married Odell Finis Elam on February 3, 1940 in Glen Rose and he preceded her in death on October 14, 2011, after 71 years of marriage.
Mrs. Elam worked as a sales clerk before retiring. She worked for Duke and Ayers for 15 years and Ben Franklin for 20 years. Mary was of the Christian faith.
Survivors include her sons, Gary Elam and wife Cathie of Georgetown and Danny Elam of Cleburne; grandchildren, Jeff Elam and Janet Taylor of Denton and Mariah Elam and Taylor Smith of Cleburne and a sister, Dorothy Doty of Red Oak. She was also preceded in death by her parents.
