Mary Shrum

Graveside service for Mary Ellan Shrum, 83, of Cleburne will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Friday, June 6, 2014 in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Thursday, at the funeral home.

Mary Ellan Shrum passed away Monday, June 2, 2014 in Ft. Worth. She was born July 19, 1930 in Nash, Texas to W.B. and Prudy A. Power Scogin. She married Odis O. Shrum on Feb. 23, 1946 in Waxahachie and he preceded her in death on July 12, 2004.

Mrs. Shrum was an electronic assembler, retiring from General Dynamics. She enjoyed working for as long as she could. She was a member of NESE and DAV Auxiliary. Her love and dedication to her husband and family will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her sons, Bill Shrum and Clint Shrum and wife Vicki; grandchildren, Tina Wetmore and husband Jeremy, Matt Shrum, Corky Harper and wife Leslie and Jody Harper and wife Denise; eight great grandchildren; Tucker, Shyla, Makenzie, Mason, Devon, Shay, Courtney, and Callie; brother, Troyce Scogin; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was also preceded by her parents; and siblings, Dorothy Kemp and John Scogin.
