Cleburne, Funeral services for Mary Katherine Smith, 88, of Cleburne will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 5, 2005, at Cleburne's Crosier-Pearson-Mayfield Funeral Home with Dr. Joe Stephens officiating. Burial will be in Greenacres Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM, Friday, at Crosier-Pearson-Mayfield Funeral Home.

Mary Kathryn Smith, a homemaker, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2005. She was born May 9, 1916, in Alvarado, Texas, the daughter of William and Mary Godsey. She was a member of Bethel Temple Assembly of God Church. She was preceded in death by husbands, George Monroe Johnston and L.L. (Smitty) Smith, son, Billy George Johnston, grandson, Mike Peikoff (Junior) and six brothers and three sisters.

Mrs. Smith is survived by daughters, Jean Evans and husband, Frank, of Joshua, Beverly Foley and husband, Robert of Blum and Mary Lou Peikoff and husband, Mike, of Alvarado; sisters, Maxine Findley, of Alvarado and Bessie Bayless, of Granbury; six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and numerous great-great grandchildren.
