Mary Steele

Graveside services for Mary M. Steele, 78, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 in the Rosehill Cemetery, Cleburne.

Mary M. Steele passed away on Monday, May 30, 2011 in Fort Worth. She was born to Mr. and Mrs. C.T. Hardee in Johnson County. She married James F. Steele, Sr. in 1952 in Fort Worth. She was a homemaker and a member of Cleburne Baptist Temple. It has been said that she was liked by everyone. She loved to laugh and make others laugh as well. Mary was a "cut up" until the very end of her life. She read her Bible often. Mary enjoyed playing games, especially bingo, dominoes and Skip Bo. She will be missed greatly by all those who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and six siblings.
Survivors include her children, Wanda Holmes and her husband, Alvin, James F. Steele, Jr., and Dean Steele; granddaughter, Katrina Marchman; great grandson, Garrett Holmes; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
