Services for Mattie Bullard, 88, of Granbury, will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 16, 2009 at Calvary Baptist Church, Cleburne. The Rev. Charles Payne will officiate. Burial will be in Sand Flat Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Overbey, Royce Overbey, Jr., Donald Bullard, Jr., Sidney Bullard, Kevin Smith and Cody Dillon. Visitation will be Sunday from 3-5 p.m.

Mattie Bullard passed away Friday, February 13, 2009 in Granbury. She was born March 3, 1920 in Cleburne to Francis Marion and Eliza Ellen Shipman O'Neal. She married John Wesley Bullard, Jr. on March 9, 1938 in Cleburne.

Mrs. Bullard worked as a cook in a nursing home and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Cleburne.

Mattie Bullard is survived by two daughters, Johnnie Lee Overbey and husband, Royce of Burleson and LaDonna Stephens and husband, Richard of Mineral Wells; three sons, Donald Bullard and wife, Rayann of Granbury, Leon Bullard and wife, Darlene of Granbury and Ronald Bullard and wife, Julie of Burleson; thirty-one grandchildren; sixty-six great-grandchildren; forty-three great-great-grandchildren and one brother, Fred O'Neal and wife, Dorothy of Godley. She was preceded in death by her husband John on April 10, 1977; three sisters;one brother and three great-grandchildren.
