Maurine Barnett

Funeral services for Maurine Jane Barnett, 85, of Joshua will be held at 3:00 PM, Tuesday, December 13, 2005 at Lane Prairie Baptist Church, with Rev. Jerry Clements officiating. Burial will be in Lane Prairie Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 6-7 PM, Monday, at Crosier-Pearson-Cleburne Funeral Home, 414 N. Main.

Maurine Jane Barnett, a self-employed livestock breeder, passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2005 in Cleburne. She was born February 27, 1920 in Warren County, Iowa, the daughter of Andrew J. and Lela Vada (Long) Simmerman. She was a member of Lane Prairie Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, H. B. Barnett.

Mrs. Barnett is survived by two sisters, Aleine Harris, of Des Moines, Iowa and Elaine Bumgarner, of Indianola, Iowa.
