Service for Maxine Doty, 76, of Rio Vista will be conducted at 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, May 9, 2012 in the Calvary Baptist Church, 700 Woodard Drive, Cleburne. The Reverend Charles E. Payne will officiate. Pallbearers will be Gregory Doty, James Doty, Cleve Doty, Jason Lacy, Blake Dagley and Randy Hogan. Burial will follow in Rio Vista Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Doty went to meet the Lord on Saturday, May 5, 2012 in Rio Vista. She was born Oct. 2, 1935 in Miami, Okla. to Robert and Lola Blallock Hogan. She married Isaac Doty on Oct. 6, 1950 in Johnson County.
Mrs. Doty was an accomplished seamstress and loved to sew. She worked at Walls Manufacturing for 15 years and managed Fabric and Things Store in Cleburne for 10 years. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Isaac Doty; two sons, David Doty and wife Carolyn and Jimmy Doty and wife Brenda; daughter, Debbie Stafford and husband Dale; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; brothers, Glen Hogan, Chester Hogan and wife Luetisha and Alfred Hogan and wife Wanda; sisters, Pauline Schamlin, Geraldine Cunliffe and Della Mae Collins. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Cleve Hogan and Elmer Hogan and one sister, Lorrine Longnecker.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Community Hospice and their staff for the wonderful care given to Mrs. Doty.
