Mrs. Sandefur passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2005 in Ft. Worth. She was born June 6, 1924 in Peniel, Texas to Elford C. and Lelia C. Gatlin Cozby. She married Robert Vick Sandefur on June 22, 1942 in Belton. Texas.

Mrs. Sandefur was a retired realtor who worked in Johnson County for 45 years. She was voted most beautiful girl in Stamford High School and graduated in 1942. She was a former officer in the Texas Hereford Association and a member of Bible Baptist Church. Mrs. Sandefur was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Melba Louise Cozby Sandefur is survived by daughter, Sharon Speer and husband Ray of Cleburne; son, Robby Sandefur, Jr. and wife Susan of Cleburne; two sisters, Mary Miriam Rogers of Kerrville and Lee Weaks of Stamford; brother, David Baxter Cozby of Dallas; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Robert Vick Sandefur on March 10, 2004.
