Melvin Mitchell

Service for Melvin “Chris” Mitchell, Sr., 56, of Brownwood, Texas will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Monday, April 25, 2022, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Pastor David Cole will officiate. Visitation will be 3-5:00 P.M., Sunday, April 24, 2022, at the funeral home. Honorary pallbearers will be Bradon Rench, Dusty Mitchell, Jr., Tristan Carpentiere, Landen Bullard, Ryan Bullard, and Austen Mitchell.

Melvin passed away Saturday, April 16, 2022, in Brownwood. He was born July 23, 1965, in Fort Worth to Melvin D. and Raylene Mitchell. Melvin was a tree trimmer for Baldwin’s Tree Service for over 20 years.

Melvin is survived by his mother, Raylene Bullard of Cleburne, significant other Carla Lyon; children, Dusty Mitchell and spouse, Leeah of Joshua, Kristina Mitchell of Cleburne, and Melvin C. Mitchell, Jr. of Cleburne; stepchildren, Tabitha Lyon and spouse, Jonathan of Houston, Shelia Ebarb and spouse, Robert Hernandez of Fort Worth, Jimmy Alllison and spouse, Jessica of Brownwood; siblings, Cindy Mitchell, Melvin D. Mitchell, Jr., Darla Johns, Sherry Mitchem, Dell Grant, Lonnie Bullard, Darlene Bullard, and David Bullard; 10 grandchildren; and 8 step-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his father, and granddaughter, Chaeli Mitchell.
