Michael O'Malia

Service for Michael James O’Malia, Jr., 76, of Alvarado, will be conducted at 2:15 P.M. Thursday in the DFW National Cemetery in Dallas. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M. on Wednesday at Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home.

Michael O’Malia passed away Friday, September 28, 2018 in Fort Worth. He was born August 13,1942 in St. Louis, MO to Michael James O’Malia, Sr. and Ruth Smith O’Malia. He married Carolyn Rae Bledsoe on April 30, 2011 in Alvarado.

Mr. O’Malia joined the Army in 1959 and served 3 tours in Vietnam. He worked as a truck driver and was of Episcopalian faith.

Survivors include his wife Carolyn; children Michael Patrick O’Malia and wife Kara of Cleburne, Tom Kennedy and wife Helen Garrett of Fort Worth, Janet McLain of Fort Worth, and Diahanna Short and husband Brian of Joshua; 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

He was preceded by his parents, Michael, Sr. and Ruth O’Malia and third wife Rosemary O’Malia.
