Graveside service for Mildred “Midge” Bowen, 94, of Cleburne will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, April 9, 2016 in the Moore Memorial Gardens in Arlington. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Friday, at the funeral home.
Mildred “Midge” Bowen passed away Saturday, April 2, 2016 in Ft. Worth. She was born Feb. 28, 1922 in Idabel, OK to Andrew Jackson and Vessie Pearl Sullivan Flowers. She married Delbert Bowen on Oct. 6, 1984 in Arlington.
Midge was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother, grand and great grandmother, sister, and friend to many. She was a member of Field Street Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Delbert Bowen of Cleburne; children, Gerry Wayne Stamps of Arlington and Paula Stamps Clelland and husband Gordon of South Carolina; stepson, Tandy Bowen; grandchildren, Jeffery C. Stamps and wife Anissa and Jason T. Stamps and wife Kimberly, all of Ft. Worth, Carrie Fudge and husband Dennis and Kyle Thomas Clelland and wife Carlson, all of SC; great grandchildren, Nathaniel Stamps, Harrison Stamps, Vivian Stamps, Roman Fudge, Ann Leigh Fudge, Abigail Fudge, and Isaiah Fudge; sister, Lela Mixon of Idabel, OK; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband Thomas Stamps, Jr. in 1978; and 11 brothers and sisters.
