Mildred Morrow

Services for Mildred Marie Morrow, 76, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 12, 2007 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Reverend John Glover and Reverend John Hall will officiate. Burial will be in George's Creek Cemetery.
On Sunday, November 11, 2007, Mildred Marie Baxter Morrow passed peacefully from this world into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She fought the good fight and finished her race and kept the faith. She was born April 27, 1931 to Jim and Myrtle Crumbly Baxter in Jack County, Texas. She married Fred Pendleton Morrow on July 22, 1947 in Weatherford, Texas. After raising her family, she worked her way through nursing school, first as an LVN and then as an RN. She worked in many hospitals in the area. During the last years of her nursing, her favorite and most rewarding job was working with adolescent teens in drug rehabilitation hospitals. She was a long time member of Field Street Baptist Church and a member of the Frances Scott Sunday School class, where she had many close and dear friends. She was very active in all areas of the Church. One of her many passions was sewing, so the "Prayers for Square Quilts Ministry" project was near and dear to her heart. It seemed that there was never a person she did not know, and she touched many lives in her 76 years.
Preceded in death by her parents; her sisters Frances Mires, Irene Majors and Ruby Ellis; and her husband of 59 years and 8 months, Fred.
Survivors are sister, Lola Green of Bedford Texas; sister-in- laws, Ina Mae Cooke and Mary Jones of Cleburne; daughter, Ann and husband, Herb Smith; sons, David and wife Louise and Wendell and wife Sherri; daughter, Jan Morrow all of Cleburne; grandchildren, Angela and husband Arthur Andersson of Kenosha, Wisconsin, Jennifer and husband Chris Jackson, Jonathan and wife Gayla Morrow of Cleburne, Renea and husband Wesley Terry of Fort Worth and Marie Morrow of Cleburne; great grandchildren, Zachary and Quinton Andersson of Kenosha Wisconsin, Mara, Joshua, Josiah, and soon to be born on December 13th, Meghan Jackson of Cleburne and Chloe Terry of Fort Worth and many nieces, nephews and many friends.
A special thank you to the Nurses, CNA's, and staff of Colonial Manor Nursing Home and the staff of Community Hospice. They were a great comfort to her in her final months.
